Bonfires

Every year, Duke is granted a license to hold a bonfire on three seperate occasions. First is the Duke vs. UNC men's basketball game. Second is the NCAA men's championship. Third is the NCAA women's championship. In all three cases, a victory by the Blue Devils initiates a chain of events that leads to the large bonfires. The bonfires take place in clocktower quad, and are built up by burning the benches found around campus in front of dorms.
