I love Duke because of...
- The Chapel - I still remember when I first got here, and thought East Campus was all of Duke. I was a tad disappointed (no offense, Baldwin) - then finally made it over to West Campus... Whoah. This past Convocation I got to spend some time just looking at the woodwork in the choir loft - some of it bears a striking resemblance to the guardians in The Neverending Story. As if anyone else reading this knows what the heck they are... Here.
- Duke Gardens - I lived on Central for three years and loved walking through the gardens and past the pond to my apartment. A great way to make a break from School to Home.
- Mainly, though, the people - fellow former students, folks I've taught, and folks I've worked with.

I hate Duke because of...
- Aramark - Thank goodness they're gone...
- Gross Chem - THOSE STEPS!!! AAHHHHH!!!
- Teer Basement - I don't hate the engineering. I hate the mold, dust, 95 degree heat, malfunctioning printer, and the slow, droning hum of the computers that makes you just... wanna... *yawn*......
- Way too many Gucci bags for one campus to handle
- that bus rush around 3:55 to pack the freshies back to east.
- The lack of lights on Central Campus
- Not giving counting labs and recitations in courseloads
- The lack of a dating scene on campus
- The Pasta Station in the Great Hall lacks ALL essential Italian herbs
